Yummy Pellets!
After Anti assured me that the lettuce may have been a bit old but hadn't gone bad and that the girls wouldn't die, I realized I still have to give them new pellets. There were very few of the Oxbow pellets left in the bowl, and plenty of Nutriphase. This may just be that they left a bit of Oxbow and five times that of Nutriphase rather than that they were picking out the Oxbow, I dunno, so I put two tablespoons of Oxbow in their old bowl and four tablespoons of Nutriphase in their new bowl. The younger two were closer to the Oxbow and ate it instantly. They haven't touched the Nutriphase yet. Wasabi sniffed the Nutriphase, turned to the Oxbow, and ate it also. Later on she turned around and ate some Nutriphase, but then started on the Oxbow again.
They are so cute.
They all groomed themselves somewhat after eating. Kona was really giving herself a quick shower! She'd stand up on her hind legs and wipe her face with both forepaws. It was adorable! And the way they'd go from standing up to laying down, just plopping themselves on the floor like that...hehe. Wasabi does it a lot, I've noticed, usually just kind of falling on her side so her chin rests on the floor. And for dessert, she likes to chew on the large willow ball. The other two may try a nibble and then lose interest, but she goes crunchcrunchcrunch!
Kona and Kula really like going in the Grassy Hutch. Wasabi more just nibbles on it. The first time she went in, she had to wiggle through a bit, and again when she went out. I think she doesn't like how she's almost big enough to get stuck =\ I'm afraid she might get caught for longer than a second and panic. Am I being irresponsible leaving it in the cage?
