Quality Over Quantity
Of posts, that is. That was my idea for an excuse for the whole last week. Unfortunately, it is late so this will be short :( Baby romaine, romaine hearts (that new brand I am never getting again because I found several little bugs in the lettuce, the live ones I put outside but the dead ones were horrible), cilantro. Ok, not yesterday, but the Saturday before, here was the setup in the living room:
It was nice. Anti commented that they felt more like part of the family when they weren't behind a door in their own room. When it's too hot, they have to go back into their room with the a/c, but maybe we can get a/c for the whole house and then we can build cages all over that they can move between ^^ Something to think about, anyway. And this way they're certainly safe from the kitties. The top got a bit heavy in the middle, but ordering more grids to support the top would fix that.
Video! http://www.diablogod.com/49.avi But...eh heh...it's of Robin playing, mostly with a piece of hay that was between the inner and outer "cages." When the camera zooms in crazily on her fur, that's when she was trying to eat the hay and Anti took it away.
Yesterday Anti suggested putting them in this huge cardboard box we had, since it was too hot for them to leave the room for long. During most of the cleaning, I stuck them in the box in a corner of the room, but since I was noob at arranging it, they disliked much of their time in there :( And when I moved the box to the humans' bedroom while vacuuming the piggies' room, it got quite hot without the a/c. It was all the way up to 81, which freaked me out when I saw. I rushed them back into their own room. We need to get more a/c >.<
Oh yes, and today we re-assembled the run in there, and I lined it with towels. Let's see how well this works :D
